Tales of an Underachieving Demon Lord
It didn't have to be this way...
This book is a collection of short stories originally intended to be published individually on magazine sites. As such they are generally self-contained and episodic. What they are not however is easily categorized (except with such words as irreverent, irresponsible and irredeemable).
Lacking an appropriate home, these tales began to loiter about in the back of the Author's mind and, By The Horns, those who suffer the indignity of knowing him also know that there is only so much room in there. The idea thus spawned to wrangle them all into a single nefarious tome and inflict them upon a gentle and unsuspecting public.
The tortured reader who gets stuck far enough in this literary muck may notice that an actual story line emerges that audaciously conspires to fabricate an overarching narrative. This was unintentional, as were any other indications of competent craftsmanship by the Author. The Author has however threatened to commit further atrocities against the Art of Letters and so who can say whether future stories may meld themselves into an upcoming Drilp novel? For the sake of decency and mercy, we can only hope not.
So therefore please carefully endure this most humble offering --this cookie-covered brutal assault on literature the likes of which has not been seen since the unholy novelization of Freddy Got Fingered.
